THE SSOONK
A hockey move made from behind the net where the player has the puck behind the net and fakes a pass on his forehand up the boards without touching the puck. This usually causes the defending player in front of the net to move in the direction allowing the player with the puck to start skating up ice on the other side or to make an unimpeded pass. Keith Yandle - NHL defenseman- is especially known for this move- when it is successful the player who has executed the move is supposed to yell 'SSOONK' after making the play, and indeed Yandle will often do this following a successful SSOONK.
